Italy to Set Up Independent Body to Oversee Finances, Ansa Says

Nov. 29 (Bloomberg) -- Italy will set up an independent body to oversee public finances as part of a constitutional amendment that requires balanced budgets, Ansa newswire said, citing legislation under review by the Chamber of Deputies.

The lower house of parliament is currently examining the bill after it was approved by a select committee, Ansa said today.
