Nov. 29 (Bloomberg) -- BNP Paribas SA’s Ukrainian lender AKIB UkrSibbank plans to increase statutory capital 1.36 billion hryvnia ($169.6 million) to 8.87 billion hryvnia.

Kiev-based UkrSibbank will increase capital through an additional issue of shares, the bank said in an e-mailed statement today.

UkrSibbank is 84.99 percent owned by BNP Paribas and 15 percent by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
