YouTube Forges Deal With Disney to Show Moves for Rent on Site

Nov. 23 (Bloomberg) -- Google Inc.’s YouTube video-sharing service announced a deal with Walt Disney Co. to offer the studio’s movies for rent on the site in the U.S. and Canada.
Only a “handful” of titles will be available for rent today, with hundreds more appearing in the weeks to come, YouTube said today in an e-mailed statement. Disney joins Sony Pictures, Universal and Warner Bros. in offering rentals on YouTube.
