Nov. 26 (Bloomberg) -- Diageo Plc’s Kenyan unit plans to introduce a new brand of its Tusker beer and start canning its non-malt drink in the country.
“We will introduce Tusker Lite brand on Nov. 28 and start a new line to can our non-malt drink Alvaro which we expect will improve our top-line growth,” Seni Adetu, chief executive officer of East African Breweries Ltd., told reporters today at a conference in the capital, Nairobi.
EABL is Kenya’s biggest company by market value. The stock has dropped 20 percent so far this year, compared with a 27 percent decline in the benchmark NSE 20 Index over the same period, according to data compiled by Bloomberg.
