Nov. 25 (Bloomberg) -- Ukraine’s barley exports declined in October to 229,300 metric tons from 668,300 tons a month earlier, according to UkrAgroConsult.
The shipments compared with 384,000 tons of barley exported a year earlier, the Kiev-based researcher said today in an e- mailed statement.
Barley exports in the four months started from July 1 declined to 1.68 million tons from 2.19 million tons a year earlier, the researcher said. Saudi Arabia bought 78 percent of Ukraine’s barley in July through October, UkrAgroConsult said.
Ukraine imposed a 14 percent duty on barley exports starting July 1.
