Gambia’s Jammeh Wins Fourth Term With 71% of Votes Cast

Nov. 25 (Bloomberg) -- Gambia’s president, Yahya Jammeh, won his fourth term in office after obtaining 71 percent of votes counted from all of the country’s 48 constituencies, according to the Independent Electoral Commission.

Voter turnout was 83 percent, the Banjul-based commission said on its website today. Opposition candidates Ousainou Darboe had 17 percent while Hamat Bah won 11 percent.
