(Updates with comment by Bostock in first paragraph.)
Nov. 24 (Bloomberg) -- Marks & Spencer Group Plc clothing director Kate Bostock said she was “disappointed” about speculation she may leave the U.K.’s largest clothing retailer.
“I’m so proud of this business and this store and continue to be very proud of the product that is in there,” Bostock said today on a conference call from Paris, where she attended the opening of an outlet on the Champs Elysees, marking the London- based company’s return to France. She declined to comment further, as did Chief Executive Officer Marc Bolland, who said that Marks & Spencer doesn’t comment on rumors.
Bostock is in advanced discussions about becoming managing director of online fashion retailer Asos Plc, the Financial Times reported today, citing people familiar with the matter. Bostock denied she’s in talks with Asos, the newspaper said.
