IMF Sees Risk Japan’s Debt Could ‘Quickly Become Unsustainable’

Nov. 24 (Bloomberg) -- Japan’s debt could “quickly become unsustainable,” should yields for government bonds rise from current levels, the International Monetary Fund said in a report released on its website yesterday. “Market concerns about fiscal sustainability could result in a sudden spike in the risk premium” on government bonds, the IMF said.
