German Stocks Retreat; DAX Index Falls 0.7%

Nov. 24 (Bloomberg) -- German stocks retreated, with the benchmark DAX Index losing 0.7 percent to 5,421.05 as of 3:42 p.m. in Frankfurt. The gauge has fallen 10 percent since Nov.11 as Italian, Spanish and French bond yields soared, adding to concern that the debt crisis is spreading to the euro area’s larger economies.
