Chilean Stocks: Banco Santander, Copec, Gener and Parque Arauco

Nov. 24 (Bloomberg) -- The following companies had unusual price changes in Chilean trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of the close in Santiago.

The Ipsa index fell 0.1 percent to 4,014.25. The MSCI Chile index rose 0.6 percent to 2,156.68.

AES Gener SA (GENER CC) fell 0.1 percent to 261 pesos, its lowest price in seven weeks. Chile’s second-largest power generator by revenue reported net profit in the third quarter of $1.78 million, down from $69.6 million a year earlier.

Banco Santander Chile (BSAN CC), Chile’s largest lender, climbed 1 percent to 32.36 pesos, its first advance in seven days. The unit of Spain’s Banco Santander SA sold $135 million of six-month floating-rate notes yesterday.

Empresas Copec SA (COPEC CC) fell for a sixth day, dropping 0.8 percent to 6,669.6 pesos. Chile’s largest pulp exporter posted a 52 percent drop in third-quarter profit to $138 million from $291 million a year ago.

Parque Arauco SA (PARAUCO CC) retreated 1.5 percent to 860.01 pesos. The Chilean shopping center developer and operator said third-quarter profit fell 5 percent to 8.42 billion pesos from 8.87 billion a year earlier.
