Nov. 23 (Bloomberg) -- The following companies are having unusual price changes in Peru trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and share prices are as of 12:27 p.m. local time.
The Lima General Index fell 0.8 percent to 18,983.73. The MSCI All Peru Capped Index dropped 1.1 percent to 2,477.93.
Miners slumped after U.S. stocks declined and metal prices dropped in New York and London, said Eduardo Fernandini, a trader at Lima-based brokerage Kallpa Securities SAB.
Candente Copper Corp. (DNT PE), a Canadian exploration company, fell 4.8 percent to $1.19. Panoro Minerals Ltd. (PML PE), a Canadian copper and gold exploration company, dropped 4.8 percent to 40 cents. Rio Alto Mining Ltd. (RIO PE), a Canadian gold exploration company, declined 3.5 percent to $2.74. Sociedad Minera El Brocal SAA (BROCALC1 PE), a zinc and lead producer, slid 3.3 percent to 44.50 soles. Sociedad Minera Cerro Verde SA (CVERDEC1 PE), a unit of Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold Inc., fell 1.4 percent to $35.50 after union official William Camacho said the government won’t rule on a settlement to a two- month strike until Dec. 15.
Casa Grande (CASAGRC1 PE), Peru’s largest sugar producer, dropped 1.1 percent to 13.50 soles as futures declined for a second day in New York.
