Liberia Telecoms Regulator Fines MTN Unit $225,000

Nov. 23 (Bloomberg) -- MTN Group Ltd.’s unit in Liberia has been fined $225,000 by the country’s telecommunications regulator for failing to expand its interconnection trunks with a rival operator.

Lonestar Cell MTN disregarded an order to conclude an agreement with Cellcom Telecommunications over interconnections, the Liberia Telecommunications Authority said in a statement on its website.
