Helios Capital’s Arora Says Tata Succession Ends Uncertainty

November 23, 2011

Nov. 23 (Bloomberg) -- Samir Arora, founder of hedge fund Helios Capital Management Pte., comments on Tata Sons Ltd. naming Cyrus P. Mistry, the son of its biggest shareholder, as successor to Chairman Ratan Tata. He spoke in a phone interview from Singapore.

“The appointment is a good choice and the markets will like the decision.

‘‘Its great to have an insider who knows the group and has tracked it for some years. It will put to rest the uncertainty on future leadership of the group. Even though he is from a single-business background, its great to have working knowledge about the group, which is so diverse. People may not have heard about him so much.’’
