VW Rejects Suzuki’s Calls to Surrender Shares, Enter Arbitration

Nov. 18 (Bloomberg) -- Volkswagen AG rejected calls by Suzuki Motor Corp. to terminate a cooperation agreement and sells its shares in the Japanese automaker.

There is “no legal foundation whatsoever” to force VW to surrender its holding in Suzuki, the Wolfsburg, Germany-based company, said today in an e-mailed statement. VW said Suzuki’s call for arbitration and a termination of the agreement is “without foundation.”
