Nov. 18 (Bloomberg) -- The 30-stock Micex Index dropped 1 percent to 1,460.55 by 3:37 p.m. in Moscow, heading for its lowest close in two weeks. The dollar-denominated RTS Index dropped 1.1 percent to 1,496.20.
The following are among the most active stocks in the Russian market today. Stock symbols are in parentheses:
OAO Gazprom (GAZP RX), Russia’s largest company, fell 1.5 percent to 181.15 rubles after U.K. researcher Profercy said Ukraine’s gas price was set for a “major cut,” citing comments by Prime Minister Mykola Azarov.
OAO Lukoil (LKOH RX) declined 1.1 percent to 1,725.10 rubles after Interfax reported Russia’s second-largest oil company plans to invest $12 billion to $18 billion in its development a year, citing Chief Executive Officer Vagit Alekperov.
