Nov. 18 (Bloomberg) -- Opposition leader Mariano Rajoy said he hopes Spain won’t need a bailout before the new government takes office following elections on Nov. 20.

Asked in an interview on Onda Cero radio if the new government will be able to take over without Spain needing a bailout, Rajoy said: “I hope so.”

“I hope the government makes the greatest effort it can and I, of course, am at its disposal to do what I can,” he said in an interview with Onda Cero today.
