GE Unit to Build 1.1 Billion Euros Power Plants for MetCap

Nov. 18 (Bloomberg) -- General Electric Co.’s energy unit will build two gas-fired power plants for 1.1 billion euros for Turkey’s MetCap Energy Investments, Celal Metin, chief executive of MetCap, said.

The plants will have capacities of 878 megawatts and 1,080 megawatts and will start operations in 2014 and 2016, Metin said in an interview in Istanbul today.
