Deutsche Bank Rejects Report on Pressure for Ackermann to Leave

November 18, 2011

Nov. 18 (Bloomberg) -- Deutsche Bank AG, Germany’s biggest bank, denied a report in Handelsblatt newspaper saying some management board members pushed for Chief Executive Officer Josef Ackermann to leave before May 2012.

The report was “made up” and the schedule for Ackermann to leave at the end of May and start the transition to designated co-CEOs Anshu Jain and Juergen Fitschen at the beginning of next year is unchanged, the Frankfurt-based lender said today in an e-mailed statement.
