Nov. 18 (Bloomberg) -- All Nippon Airways Co., Asia’s largest listed carrier, will double flights between Tokyo’s Narita airport and Okinawa to tap growing trade in Asia.

Weekly cargo runs between the two destinations will be increased to 12 from the current six starting Dec. 5, 2011, the company said today in a faxed statement. The number between Narita and Taipei will increase to nine flights a week from six.

The carrier has said it expects the first annual profit at its cargo unit in the year started April 1, as the Okinawa hub helps it win business connecting China, Japan and Southeast Asia. Economic growth also caused Asia-Pacific cargo shipments to increase more quickly than in Europe or North America last year, according to the International Air Transport Association.
