Carrefour Property CEO Duhamel Resigns After Spinoff Was Shelved

November 17, 2011

Nov. 17 (Bloomberg) -- Carrefour SA, the world’s second- largest retailer, said Pascal Duhamel, head of its property unit, has left the company.

Duhamel’s replacement will be announced soon, a Carrefour spokeswoman said today by phone. This is the fifth senior executive change at Carrefour this year.

The grocer shelved a plan to spin off 25 percent of its property assets in Europe in May amid opposition from investors, unions and a dispute among management.
