U.S. Stocks Pare Losses as Energy Shares Rally as Oil Tops $100

Nov. 16 (Bloomberg) -- U.S. stocks pared losses as energy shares rallied following a surge in crude oil to a five-month high, while the euro reversed losses versus the dollar and yen.

The Standard & Poor’s 500 Index slipped 0.1 percent to 1,256.51 at 1:30 p.m. in New York after losing as much as 1.1 percent in morning trading. Crude oil climbed as much as 2.9 percent to $102.29 a barrel.
