U.S. Stocks Extend Losses as Fitch Says Europe a Risk to Banks

Nov. 16 (Bloomberg) -- U.S. stocks extended losses after Fitch Ratings said further contagion from Europe’s debt crisis poses a “serious risk” to American banks.

The Standard & Poor’s 500 Index lost 0.9 percent to 1,246.88 at 3:22 p.m. in New York.
