Nov. 16 (Bloomberg) -- Shares of the following companies had unusual moves in Thailand trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of 10:41 a.m. in Bangkok.
The SET Index lost less than 0.1 percent to 984.40, heading for the first drop in five days.
P Plus P Pcl (PLUS TB), a Thai publisher of books and newspapers, jumped 8.3 percent to 0.39 baht, set for the largest increase since Sept. 30. Net income in the third quarter tripled to 24.3 million baht ($787,427).
Somboon Advance Technology Pcl (SAT TB), an auto parts maker, climbed 1 percent to 20.50 baht, bound for the highest close since Sept. 30. Somboon will establish a new unit in Rayong province, it said in a regulatory filing. The new company will have registered capital of 100 million baht, it said.
Thai Optical Group Pcl (TOG TB), the nation’s biggest publicly traded maker of optical glasses, gained 1.5 percent to 2.72 baht, poised for the highest close since Oct. 10. The company will resume operations at a plant in Nonthaburi province on Nov. 21 after floods receded, it said in a regulatory filing.
