China 2011 Trade Surplus May Drop to $150 Billion, Mofcom Says

Nov. 16 (Bloomberg) -- China’s trade surplus may narrow to around $150 billion this year, Shen Danyang, spokesman for the Ministry of Commerce, said at a regular briefing in Beijing. The excess was $183 billion last year, according to customs bureau data.

The customs bureau estimates the surplus will drop to $170 billion this year, Lu Peijun, vice minister at the agency, said on Oct. 13.
