Nov. 13 (Bloomberg) -- French president Nicolas Sarkozy’s approval rating rose four percentage points in November following his reaction to Europe’s sovereign debt crisis, an OpinionWay poll for Metro showed.
The proportion of French voters who are satisfied with Sarkozy expanded to 34 percent, the highest since June, according to the poll, which will be published in tomorrow’s edition of the French newspaper.
Socialist Francois Hollande lost three points in the period with 53 percent of voters saying they were satisfied with him.
Employment, spending power and fighting the deficit should be the main themes of next year’s presidential campaign, according to the poll.
OpinionWay surveyed 1,002 voters from Nov. 4 to Nov. 9. The margin of error was 2 to 3 points for a sample of 1,000 respondents.
