Nov. 12 (Bloomberg) -- President Barack Obama said Japan remains a “cornerstone” for security in the Asia-Pacific region.
The U.S. president met with Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda while the two are in Honolulu for the Asia- Pacific Economic Cooperation summit.
Noda said through a translator that he’s “encouraged” by the U.S. renewed emphasis on the region.
