Nov. 8 (Bloomberg) -- Energy Conversion Devices Inc., a U.S. thin-film solar company, suspended manufacturing and furloughed 400 employees.

The company said the suspension was an “inventory control measure,” in a statment today. The Auburn Hills, Michigan-based company will postpone its earnings conference call scheduled for Nov. 9.
