China Oct. Exports Rise 15.9% From Yr Earlier, Surplus $17 Bln

Nov. 10 (Bloomberg) -- China’s exports rose 15.9 percent in October from a year earlier and imports climbed 28.7 percent, leaving a trade surplus of $17 billion, the customs bureau said on its website today.

The median estimate in a Bloomberg News survey of 24 economists was for a $25.75 billion trade surplus. Analysts forecast a 16.1 percent gain in exports and a 22.2 percent increase in imports.
