Nov. 7 (Bloomberg) -- German Economy Minister Philipp Roesler said there was no alternative for Greece to embracing reform if it wants to remain in the euro area, German tabloid Bild reported.
“The Greeks can decide themselves: reform in the euro area or don’t reform and get out. There is no third way”, the newspaper quoted Roesler as saying in an extract of an article to be published today.
Roesler, who heads Chancellor Angela Merkel’s Free Democratic Party coalition partner, said while the goal was to help countries to stay in the in the euro area there could be no delays in reforms, Bild reported.
