PBOC Adviser Says European Resolution Needed to Get Chinese Aid

By Bloomberg News

Nov. 4 (Bloomberg) -- Chinese central bank adviser Li Daokui said countries such as China and India should offer money to aid Europe provided Europe can deliver a plan for resolving the debt crisis.

China should also retain a certain amount of control over such investments and ensure such investments are safe, Li said at a conference in Beijing today. It’s also better if such investments are denominated in yuan or in the International Monetary Fund’s special drawing rights, and not in U.S. dollars, Li said.
