November 04, 2011

Nov. 4 (Bloomberg) -- Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou said he’s prepared to step aside if he wins a confidence vote tonight and plans to meet with President Karolos Papoulias tomorrow to discuss his decision to begin talks with opposition parties on creating a national unity government.

“I am asking for your support in the vote of confidence so that this process can be assured,” Papandreou told lawmakers ahead of the vote in comments televised live on Vouli TV.
