Nov. 4 (Bloomberg) -- The Czech Republic’s PX stock index gained 0.7 percent to 929.3 by 9:48 a.m. in Prague, paring its loss this week to 4 percent.
The following are among the most active equities on the Prague Stock Exchange today. Stock symbols follow company names.
Erste Group Bank AG (RBAG CP) increased 2.5 percent to 386 koruna, paring this week’s losses to 13 percent. The Austrian lender was upgraded to “buy” from “hold” at ING Groep NV.
Komercni Banka AS (KOMB CP), a unit of Societe Generale SA that holds more than 5 billion koruna ($276 million) of Greek government bonds, advanced 0.9 percent to 3,490 koruna, adding to a 6.8 percent gain yesterday. European lenders rose after Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou abandoned a planned referendum, moving the country closer to receiving rescue funds.
