Oct. 31 (Bloomberg) -- Saudi Arabian Oil Co. is not responsible for any production stoppages at Saudi cement maker Yanbu Cement Co., the oil company also known as Saudi Aramco said in a statement.
Jeddah-based Yanbu Cement said yesterday in a statement to the Saudi bourse that it stopped three of its production lines to use their fuel allocations to test-run a new line, saying Aramco failed to provide the fuel it needed.
“Yanbu Cement should have secured the required amount of fuel for the expansion and the operation of its fifth production line before starting the operation,” Saudi Aramco, based in Dhahran, said today in a statement received by e-mail.
