Italy’s Tremonti Calls Meeting of Financial Stability Committee

Nov. 2 (Bloomberg) -- Finance Minister Giulio Tremonti called a meeting for today of Italy’s Committee for Safeguarding Financial Stability, the ministry said in an e-mailed statement.

The committee will meet in Rome today at 3 p.m. and its members include Bank of Italy Governor Ignazio Visco, Treasury Director General Vittorio Grilli, insurance regulator chief Giancarlo Giannini and Giuseppe Vegas, the head of stock-market regulator Consob.
