ECB Says Banks’ Overnight Deposits Increased to Three-Week High

Nov. 2 (Bloomberg) -- The European Central Bank said financial institutions in the euro area increased their overnight deposits with it to the most in three weeks.

Banks parked 229 billion euros ($316 billion) with the Frankfurt-based ECB, up from 217 billion the previous day. That’s the highest since Oct. 10. Banks borrowed 1.3 billion euros at the marginal rate of 2.25 percent, down from 3.3 billion euros the day before.
