Bank of Italy Set to Intervene in Italian Bonds, Messaggero Says

Nov. 2 (Bloomberg) -- The Bank of Italy is preparing an emergency operation to swap Italian government bonds held by the nation’s banks in exchange for a pledge by the lenders to buy more debt at longer maturities, Il Messaggero newspaper reported today, without saying where it got the information.
