Australia Delays Tobacco Plain Packaging Laws to December 2012

Nov. 2 (Bloomberg) -- The Australian government will delay implementing legislation forcing tobacco to be sold in plain packaging by five months to December 2012, Health Minister Nicola Roxon said in a statement today.

The government said the new timeframe was due to delays in parliament’s upper house in passing the legislation.
