Nov. 1 (Bloomberg) -- Shares of the following companies had unusual moves in Vietnam trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as of the close.
The VN Index, the benchmark measure of the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, fell 1.7 percent to 413.82, the steepest drop since Sept. 23.
Military Commercial Joint-Stock Bank (MBB VN) rallied to as high as 14,500 dong before closing unchanged at 13,800 dong on its first trading day. The company listed 10.07 trillion dong ($479 million) of shares in Vietnam’s biggest listing this year.
Power Engineering Consulting Joint-Stock Co. 1 (TV1 VN), a construction consultancy company, fell 2.9 percent to 6,600 dong. The company will list an extra 2.6 million shares on Nov. 7, it said in a statement filed on the bourse’s website.
