Nov. 1 (Bloomberg) -- New York Life Insurance Co. appointed former General Electric Co. senior vice president Ronald Pressman to the board of directors to add experience in real estate and asset management.

Pressman was previously chief executive officer of GE Capital Real Estate, the New York-based insurer said in a statement today.
