Merkel Urges ECB’s Draghi to Maintain Stable Euro, Seibert Says

Nov. 1 (Bloomberg) -- German Chancellor Angela Merkel urged incoming ECB President Mario Draghi to work for a stable euro, according to Steffen Seibert, her chief spokesman.

Merkel wishes Draghi, who succeeded Jean-Claude Trichet at the helm of the ECB today, “success in working for a stable euro,” Seibert said in a Twitter posting.
