Jefferies Hires Two to Bolster European Debt Sales and Trading

Nov. 1 (Bloomberg) -- Jefferies Group Inc. bolstered its European fixed-income sales and trading team with the appointments of Guy Cornelius from Nomura International Plc and Christian Janssen from Barclays Capital.

Cornelius joins as a managing director and head of fixed- income securities sales in pounds, the New York-based investment bank said in a statement. He was previously Nomura’s managing director and co-head of fixed income, currency, and commodity sales for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Janssen, who was a managing director in Barclays’s commercial real estate finance group, as a managing director overseeing commercial real estate debt capital markets, according to the statement.
