Oct. 28 (Bloomberg) -- California Governor Jerry Brown’s budget director, Ana Matosantos, offered to quit today after she was arrested for driving under the influence, according to the governor’s office.
Brown didn’t accept her resignation and she reported to work this morning, said his spokesman, Gil Duran.
“My decision to drive last night was reckless and irresponsible,” the 36-year-old Matosantos said in a statement provided by her spokesman, H.D. Palmer. “I accept full responsibility and there is no excuse for my actions.”
