Oct. 27 (Bloomberg) -- The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission named Brian A. Bussey associate director for derivatives policy and trading practices in its trading and markets division and Peter J. Curley as the division’s associate director for clearance and settlement.
Bussey, who joined the SEC in 1998, will oversee an office at the forefront of efforts to implement derivatives provisions of the Dodd-Frank Act, the agency said today in a statement.
Curley, who joined the SEC as an attorney fellow last year, will oversee a program that has been expanded significantly over the past two years and takes on additional responsibilities under Dodd-Frank, the SEC said today in a separate statement. Before joining the agency, he was an executive with Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Ltd., the SEC said.
