Mexico Stocks: Corp. Geo, Grupo Mexico, Homex, Urbi Decline

Oct. 31 (Bloomberg) -- The following companies had unusual price changes in Mexico trading. Stock symbols are in parentheses and prices are as the close of trade in Mexico City.

The IPC index fell 1.5 percent to 36,159.99.

Most Mexican stocks fell amid concern European leaders will struggle to raise funds to contain the region’s sovereign debt crisis.

Desarrolladora Homex SAB (HOMEX* MM), Mexico’s largest homebuilder, fell 3.3 percent to 33.45 pesos. Corp. Geo SAB (GEOB MM), Mexico’s second-largest homebuilder, dropped 2.6 percent to 18.32 pesos. Urbi Desarrollos Urbanos SAB (URBI* MM), Mexico’s third-largest homebuilder, declined 6.8 percent to 16.93 pesos.

Grupo Mexico SAB (GMEXICOB MM), the country’s largest mining company, fell 3.2 percent to 37.01 pesos. Copper for December delivery dropped as much as 3.7 percent to $3.5675 a pound on the Comex in New York.
