CFTC Approves Private-Fund Risk Reporting in Joint Rule With SEC

Oct. 31 (Bloomberg) -- The Commodity Futures Trading Commission approved a final rule requiring certain advisers to private funds dually registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission to report information for use by the Financial Stability Oversight Council in monitoring risks to the U.S. financial system.

The CFTC announced its approval of the rule, passed by the SEC on Oct. 26, in a statement today.
