South Africa Posts Budget Gap of 17 Billion Rand in September

Oct. 28 (Bloomberg) -- South Africa posted a budget deficit of 17 billion rand ($2.2 billion) in September, the National Treasury said.

Revenue was 60.8 billion rand, while expenditure was 77.8 billion rand in the month, the Treasury said on its website today. In the fiscal year through September, the deficit widened to 103.8 billion rand from 90.4 billion rand a year earlier, the Treasury said.
