Gambia’s Central Bank Lowers Rediscount Rate to 14%

Oct. 28 (Bloomberg) -- Gambia’s central bank cut its rediscount rate by 1 percentage point to 14 percent today, with inflation expected to be within a 6 percent target for the rest of the year.

The economy will expand 5.5 percent this year, compared with 6.1 percent in 2010, the Banjul-based Central Bank of the Gambia said in an e-mailed statement today.
