Oct. 28 (Bloomberg) -- The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development is giving a $79 million loan to Ukrainian machine building company JSC EnergoMashSpetsStal.
The company, which makes equipment for wind and nuclear power generators, will upgrade its major production facilities, to improve competitiveness and efficiency, the EBRD said in e- mailed statement today.
The EMSS will also cut energy consumption by 25 percent, according to the statement. EBRD is planning to buy carbon credits which the company will generate by implementing energy efficiency program.
EnergoMashSpetsStal also produces units for steel industry and shipbuilding, the EBRD said today. It is a division of a Russian holding Atomenergomash.
