Oct. 27 (Bloomberg) -- Vivendi SA is in talks to take a stake in Polish broadcaster TVN SA from its controlling shareholder ITI Holdings SA, a person with knowledge of the matter said.
Vivendi, the media company based in Paris, might initially take a stake smaller than ITI’s 56 percent holding, and gradually purchase all of its shares, the person said, declining to be identified because the talks are private. Vivendi and its Canal Plus broadcasting unit are acting alone in the Polish discussions, the person added.
A representative of Vivendi declined to comment. ITI declined to comment on whether the negotiations include the sale of the 56 percent stake.
