Venizelos Says Greece Given Historic Opportunity on Economy

Oct. 27 (Bloomberg) -- Greece has an historic opportunity to improve its economy following a new financing package agreed by European leaders earlier today, Finance Minister Evangelos Venizelos said.

The country must implement its medium-term fiscal plan while the next four months will be “critical” for results, Venizelos said in comments televised live on state-run NET TV. Greece’s new tax system will change behavior and set rules while the new plan will protect Greek state-run pension funds, he said.
